Conscious mind and subconscious mind

On the conscious mind, it is thinking produces thoughts, thoughts produce  feelings, and feelings produce behaviors and actions.  Thoughts can also directly produces behaviors and actions.

On the subconscious mind, it is thoughts produce feelings, and feelings produce behaviors and actions. Thoughts can also directly produces behaviors and actions. The subconscious mind contains your habitual thoughts. Your habitual thoughts reside in your subconscious mind. Your habitual thoughts are your automatic thoughts.

What's the difference?
The difference is, on the conscious mind, thoughts are produced by thinking on the spot, while on the subconscious mind, thoughts are already made, thoughts already reside in our subconscious mind. On the subconscious mind, there is no thinking, there are only already seated thoughts/perceptions.

How to send a thought produced by conscious mind to the subconscious mind and make it reside there, by affirmation. How is affirmation done? You speak to your heart, you tell a statement or a resolution to your heart, again and again, until your heart fully accept it. Make sure when you say it(the statement or resolution), you 100% mean it.

What if I can't 100% wholeheartedly tell the statement or resolution to my heart?
That means you have resisting thoughts that are affecting you doing this work. You can use rationality and logical reasoning to rid of your resisting thoughts.

How long can a thought produced by conscious mind be sent to the subconscious mind and reside there by affirmation?

It depends on how devout when you speak to your heart. Make sure when you conduct affirmations, you really mean what you say, and you really accept what you say. You 100% accept what you are saying to yourself. The more devout you are, the fewer number of repetition required.
