The power of your mind

1. Our brain(or mind) can store unlimited information, more than all of the computers in this world can store.

If you don't believe this, think about how many books you have read, how many pieces of news you have read, how many pictures have you seen, how many movies/videos you have seen, how many songs you have heard, how many skills you have learned, etc. As long as you are awake, your eyes, your ears, your nose are constantly receiving information. All the information is stored in your brain or mind. Sometimes you can't retrieve a certain piece of information in your brain, but it is still there, it is like that you write a piece of text in a document on your computer, but you have so many folders on your computer, and within each folders, there are so many files, it is difficult for you to find that piece of text. When we have a certain emotion/feeling, like fear, anxiety, this feelings will hinder us from retrieving certain information.

2. Your brain's creativity is unlimited. Think about how many ideas you have figured out by now, how many problems you  have solved with your mind, that's our mind's creativity's capacity. However, when you have mixed feelings or conflicting thoughts in your mind, that conflicting state severely blocks your mind's creativity power. Therefore, by aligning your subconscious mind with your goal, you can let your subconscious mind fully bring its creativity power into play and create inspirations for you, give guidance to you how to achieve your goals.

Cynicism doesn't help you

This article comes from my answer to a question on quora.

Success doesn't magically and suddenly happen. Success is an event, while there is a process before it which leads to it. That being said, before you succeed, you need to desire for success, crave for success, you need to be interested in success, you need to feel no shame to talk about success. You even need to visualize that you have been successful. If you can visualize that you have been successful and are comfortable about it, it means that your subconscious mind has accepted it and it will assist you in achieving that goal.
That being said, an outcome can't be caused by something after it, it is not what you say and what you think after you succeed make you success, it is what you say and what you think and what you do before you succeed make you success. To succeed, you need to embrace the concept of success, like to talk about it, let your mind always open, willing to learn the science of success while cynicism makes you feel morally superior but it doesn't actually help you succeed.

We write what we think, and our thinking precedes our actions and will lead to corresponding actions. So we can say that it is our thinking that leads to our success, rather than our actions, because our actions are dictated by our thinking, it's like that a person kills another person with a gun, it is not the gun that kills the person, it is the person who holds the gun kills the other person.

We often trick ourselves. For example, when we think that someone is showing off, actually you don't know whether the person is showing off, quite the opposite, it is the viewer/audience who feels inferior, therefore he/she thinks that the person is showing off. Men are disturbed not by things, but by the view which they take of them. It is our own mind that determines how we interpret and feel what we see.

The subconscious mind and success

Any one achieves anything is an effect of all of his thinking, all he has seen/read/heard,  all of his behaviors, and all of his actions beginning from a certain moment of his life. At any moment, a person has innumerable choices regarding what to think about, what to see, how to behave, what to do, how to do. The person who achieves anything has made many choices of what to think about, what to see, how to behave, what to do, how to do from a certain moment of his life, and all of those choices together lead to his success. So how does the person make those choices? At any time, our choice is made by our rational mind(conscious mind) and our feeling. Our feelings most of the time directly come from our subconscious mind, sometimes come from our thinking at our conscious mind level, however our conscious mind uses "axioms" and "theorems", it's like that the conscious mind is a cook, but this cook uses ingredients(food materials) from the subconscious mind to cook, because conscious mind can conduct logical reasoning, imagination, etc., but it doesn't have memory function, all of thinking products are stored on the subconscious mind. Therefore you can see how all of the choices are mainly decided by our subconscious mind, maybe by 95%. Also think about how many times that your thinking is purely rational? Thinking on the conscious mind is like mathematical reasoning, and you have to use "axioms" and "theorems" on the subconscious mind to conduct the reasoning, it's like that you can't cook without ingredients.

So if our subconscious mind doesn't know if we can achieve a certain goal, how will the subconscious mind make us make choices?  The subconscious mind will ask us to act halfheartedly, to wait and see, to think about what we should do if we fail, to let us have doubts, to let us doubt what we are doing, to let us doubt the matter we are dealing with. What result will all of these behaviors, actions and thinking lead us to? Will they help us achieve the goal?

So what if  our subconscious mind doesn't believe that we will achieve the goal, what will our subconscious mind tell us to do? It will tell us to quit,   it will tell us to reluctantly engage in it, it will tell us to frustratedly engage in it. So what will these "instructions", persuasion or influences lead us to?

And if the subconscious mind believes that we can achieve the goal, the subconscious mind doesn't doubt it, so what will the subconscious mind tell us to do? It will think how to achieve it, it will tell us to make the realization/success happen, it will tell us to act towards the realization/success, therefore every decision or choice(what to think about, what to see, how to behave, what to do, how to do) we make is what we believe by our conscious mind or/and subconscious mind will lead us to the realization of our goal. So what do you think these choices and actions will lead us to? The answer isn't difficult to see.

Levitation

Do you believe levitation?
No.
Why?
It is fake.
Why is it fake?
I don't know.
So when you came to this world, say, when you were 1 month or 2 month old, did you think that levitation was fake?
No.
Why?
I didn't know anything at that time.
So why did you think that it was fake later?
It doesn't conform to science.
Why is it fake because it doesn't conform to science?
I don't know.
Is whether conforming to science a criterion to judge whether something is fake or real?
I don't know.

How does it affect you?
Since I don't think anything is real unless it conforms to science, I close my mind to new things(or new learning). As a result, I will end up only possessing traditional wisdom(or conventional wisdom), and my life will  be less wonderful/marvelous than it could have been.

Belief

You will admit that it is your behaviors and actions that create your life, you will admit that it is your behaviors and actions that create the results. So when you believe that you can achieve a goal, you subconsciously believe it, you will behave and act differently from that you don't believe you can achieve your goal or differently from you are neutral(You don't know if you will achieve your goal). Your behaviors and actions will be guided by the belief that you will achieve your goal. It's like that you drive a car. There are many roads which lead to different destinations, and since you believe that you will achieve your goal, you choose to drive the road which will lead to the destination of achieving your goal. Whenever there is a fork, you always choose the branch which will lead to the destination of achieving your goal, therefore you will certainly achieve your goal.

Just see if you believe you can achieve a goal, and you subconsciously believe it, see if you will behave or act differently. Since your life is created by our behaviors and actions, different life is created by different behaviors and different actions.

So based on the fact that you believe you will achieve your goal, what will your conscious mind(your rational mind) do?
I will try to make it happen, I will try to think how to make it happen.
So if you don’t know if you will achieve it, what will your rational mind(conscious mind) do?
I will not wholeheartedly think how to make it, I will not wholeheartedly try to make  it happen.
So what will you do?
I will think what I will do if I don’t achieve it.
In this way, do you think that it can happen?
No.
Why?
Because I don’t try it wholeheartedly.
So what if you don’t believe if you will achieve it? What will you do?
I will quit.
Why?
I don’t want to waste my energy and my time.
So will your goal be achieved if you quit.
Of course not.

Conscious mind and subconscious mind

On the conscious mind, it is thinking produces thoughts, thoughts produce  feelings, and feelings produce behaviors and actions.  Thoughts can also directly produces behaviors and actions.

On the subconscious mind, it is thoughts produce feelings, and feelings produce behaviors and actions. Thoughts can also directly produces behaviors and actions. The subconscious mind contains your habitual thoughts. Your habitual thoughts reside in your subconscious mind. Your habitual thoughts are your automatic thoughts.

What's the difference?
The difference is, on the conscious mind, thoughts are produced by thinking on the spot, while on the subconscious mind, thoughts are already made, thoughts already reside in our subconscious mind. On the subconscious mind, there is no thinking, there are only already seated thoughts/perceptions.

How to send a thought produced by conscious mind to the subconscious mind and make it reside there, by affirmation. How is affirmation done? You speak to your heart, you tell a statement or a resolution to your heart, again and again, until your heart fully accept it. Make sure when you say it(the statement or resolution), you 100% mean it.

What if I can't 100% wholeheartedly tell the statement or resolution to my heart?
That means you have resisting thoughts that are affecting you doing this work. You can use rationality and logical reasoning to rid of your resisting thoughts.

How long can a thought produced by conscious mind be sent to the subconscious mind and reside there by affirmation?

It depends on how devout when you speak to your heart. Make sure when you conduct affirmations, you really mean what you say, and you really accept what you say. You 100% accept what you are saying to yourself. The more devout you are, the fewer number of repetition required.

Irrational mind, conditioned mind

Our mind is a conditioned mind, while also an irrational mind, because many irrational or wrong thoughts/concepts/notions have been conditioned into our mind ever since we came to this world. Although we have been conditioned many irrational or wrong thoughts/concepts/notions into our mind, we still survive and don't die, we are just less happy and less achieved. How are these irrational or wrong thoughts/concepts/notions conditioned into our mind? By simply believing that they are true  and absorbing them.

That said, wrong or irrational thoughts/concepts/notions don't make us die(unless some extremely wrong or irrational ones), it just makes us less happy or less achieved, therefore we can do it the opposite way, we can condition thoughts/concepts/notions which are not necessarily correct but help us more achieved into our mind. How can we condition these thoughts/concepts/notions into our mind? The same. By simply believing that they are true and absorbing them.

What is important is not correct or wrong, rational or irrational, what is important is helpful or unhelpful, empowering or disempowering.

Your thoughts should be responsible for the outcomes, not your actions

We often think that it is our actions that make us success or gain what we want, or produce the result we want. This cognition seems innocently accurate, nevertheless, it is wrong.

Let me give you two examples:

Example 1: You have a car. The car is turned on with its key, the car is turned off with its key. So we may think that it is the key that controls the car, right?

Example 2: Someone is killed by a gunshot. So we think that the person is skilled by the gun, right?

In example 1: It is not the key that controls the car, it is the person who possesses the key. The person decides when to turn on the car and when to turn off the car, not the key.

In example 2: It is not the gun that kills the victim. It is the person who uses the gun that kills the victim. The gun is just a means the shooter uses.

To our people, every action is dictated by its respective thought.  We act because we have the thought that dictates the act, we do nothing because we have do-nothing thought; we do something in a certain way because we have do-it-in-a-certain-way thought. When we focus on the action, it is like that we punish the gun after the victim is killed, while the shooter should be the real culprit, when the action is wrong, it is our thought that dictates that action is wrong. Unless you have some nervous system problems, every action, every movement, like raising your hand, extending your leg, opening your mouth, leaning forward, even a tiny movement, is dictated by your thought. You can't think wrong while do correct, and you can't think correct but do wrong. If you trade stock and lose money, it is not that the action of buying that stock or the action of selling that stock is wrong, it is the thought that dictated buying that stock or/and the thought that dictated selling that stock is wrong. If you blame your action, it is like that you blame the gun for killing the person, while actually the shooter should be responsible for killing.

Happiness and Success

Some people are happy but not successful, some people are successful and not happy, while some people are both happy and successful, therefore you can be happy but not successful,  successful but not happy, and you can also be happy and successful. Success doesn't necessarily guarantee happiness,  if you think that you will be happy after you achieve success, please take care.  However, what's interesting is that the erroneous belief/thought(I will be happy after I achieve success) can act as a big motivation factor that motivates you to do what it takes to succeed, therefore this erroneous belief/thought may help you succeed, but of course it will also make you disillusioned after you achieve success. The same thought can make you very unhappy in the present moment while driving you to succeed in the near future.

However, being depressed definitely prevents you from success. The more depressed you are, the less likely that you will achieve success.

Our emotions can make us unhappy, but it can also help us succeed. For example, if you see that your old classmates make much more money than you and live in a very good house but you don't,  and you feel shame, you can channel that strong feeling of shame into a burning desire to make more money to overtake your classmates. Let your emotions help you succeed, don't let your emotions hinder you from succeeding, but in the meantime please understand in your heart of hearts that your unhappiness or bad feelings are caused by your thoughts, not by not succeeding, so you won't  kill yourself in case that you don't succeed.

Declaration

Our mind is a conditioned mind, our mind is an irrational mind. When we come to this world, we don't know anything except body language and a few physiological needs. Later, as we grow up, we learn everything. So everything is learned and conditioned to our mind. When we learn them, except for the stuff in science textbooks, we don't critically accept them, we blindly accept them. A lot of beliefs/concepts/notions we accepted do us more harm than good therefore are in  our best interest. To let our mind better support/serve us, we need to replace those beliefs/concepts/notions with more beneficial ones. When we accepted them, we didn't use rationalization or logical reasoning to accept them; but we need rationalization or logical reasoning to get rid of them, and then to install new ones with non rationalization ways. Namely, we simply believe that the new beliefs and ideas. If we have resisting thoughts that prevent us from believing new beliefs or ideas, we need to use logical reasoning to tackle the resisting thoughts.

For example, if we don't think being humiliated is good, we can use logical reasoning or rationalization to ask ourselves:
1. What will happen to you if you are humiliated?
   I don't know.
2. Will you be killed if you are humiliated?
No.
3. Will you be physically injured if you are humiliated?
No.
4. Will you lose money if you are humiliated?
No.
5. Will you be put in jail if you are humiliated?
No.(You will only be put in jail if you break the law.)
6. Will you lose happiness if you are humiliated?
No.
7. Will you lose friends if you are humiliated?
No.
8. Will you mentally break down if you are humiliated?
No.
9. Will you become suddenly ill if you are humiliated?
No.
10. So what will happen to you if you are humiliated?

You don't know what will happen if you are humiliated, in deed, you may just become more composed after you are humiliated.
Then you can make a declaration:
It is OK that people humiliate me.
It is OK that people humiliate me.

When you make the declaration or announcement, you need to 100% believe what you are telling yourself and absorb it.

Magic will happen after you do this, because your mind will accept it and internalize it, it will become part of you.

Business vs Brand

The core of creating a business is to create a brand.

Businesses survive. Brands thrive.

Without a brand, you can't duplicate. Without a brand, you will struggle in price war. Without a brand, you will struggle to survive, and never have an opportunity to thrive. Think about Starbucks Coffee. Is its coffee the best coffee in the world, doubtful, probably not, but they have the strongest coffee brand, it thrives not because it has the best coffee in the world, but because it has the strongest coffee shop brand in the world.

Your price doesn't have to be the lowest,  and you don't have to satisfy all people in the market, you need to invent some great benefits that can differentiate you from your competitors' products. You can choose to satisfy part of the customer base. Expensive products or cheap products, all have their respective buyers.

Charming

I don’t want to be charming.
Why don’t you want to be charming?
I want to express my ideas, my thoughts.
Why do you want to express your ideas, your thoughts?
I want to express my ideas, my thoughts, and let them accept my ideas, my thoughts.
Why do you want to express your ideas, your thoughts, and let them accept your ideas, your thoughts?
Because my ideas, my thoughts are insightful, penetrating, thoughtful, farsighted.
Why do you want to express your ideas and your thoughts and let them accept your ideas and your thoughts because your ideas, your thoughts are insightful, penetrating, and farsighted?
I don’t know.
When you came to this world, do you have want to express your ideas, your thoughts and let people accept them?
No.
Why?
I didn’t have any ideas or thoughts.
Is your want(you want to express your ideas and your thoughts and let people accept your ideas and your thoughts) innate?
Of course.
So where is it from?
It is learned.
How is it learned?
I don’t know.
Why are your ideas and thoughts insightful, penetrating and farsighted?
I don’t know.
So why do you want to express your ideas and your thoughts and want people to accept them?
I don’t know.

How did it affect you?
Since I didn’t want to be charming, I just wanted to express my ideas and thoughts and wanted them to accept them, I sometimes expressed my ideas and thoughts in an uncharming way, and people didn’t want to hear my ideas, people wanted to feel good, they didn’t want to hear my ideas or thoughts, if I expressed my ideas and thoughts in an uncharming way, they didn’t feel good, and their didn’t-feeling-good feeling let them not want to hear my ideas or thoughts, let alone accept them. They would cut me off, they would leave me, they would ignore me, and I would never be able to fully express my ideas and thoughts, let alone let them accept them.

I have to be charming all the way if I want to fully express my ideas and thoughts and let them accept them.

Experience

Just once sentence:

You think that your experience taught you, but actually you created your experience.

How did you learn

How did you learn anything? By associating, from your parents(guardians).

When you were very young, when something happened to you, when someone said something to you or had a certain attitude towards you, you didn't know how to act, you didn't know whether it was good or bad, then, at this time.your parents would act for you, you would know whether it was good or bad, right or wrong from your parents. How did you learn it? Your parents would explicitly tell you, if your parents didn't explicitly tell you, their attitudes, their facial expressions, their tone of voice would tell you, then you learned something was good, and something was bad.

Create a strong desire for your goal

To realize a goal, the goal can be wealth, a girlfriend/boyfriend, or a better living environment, a skill, etc.
firstly, ask yourself, in your heart of hearts, do you desire it, for example, do you desire a girlfriend or boyfriend? Strangely enough, you say that you want to realize a goal, but you may actually not desire it in your heart of hearts, because when you say that you want to realize a goal, you actually mean that you should realize that goal, but actually you don't desire it.

One way to create a strong desire for something is by empathy. How does empathy work?
Say, your goal is to create wealth, but in your heart of hearts, you don't desire it. OK. That's fine. Imagine that there is a person in this world who has a burning desire for wealth. There should be such a person, right?
Then deeply empathize and write down his thoughts in his brain. Write down why he desperately desires wealth and what are his thoughts associated with wealth. Write down this paragraph, as long as possible. This is using empathy to borrow another person's mind. After writing down the paragraph, you will immediately desire wealth, and that's in your heart of hearts, you even don't know why you have that desire. But that's OK, we just need that desire, we don't care why you  have that desire. Don't believe this method? Give it a try and you will see that it works.

Another method is imagination and visualization. Image that you already have what in your goal, imagine the inviting scenario  with it or her, or him, you can also write down that scenario. How do you feel in that scenario, what do you do, what do you say, what do you look at, etc. This method also increases your desire. You may even crave it after this practice.

Competition

Differentiate your products or services from your competitors. Don't be the same as your competitors and then wage a price war. Focus on your own business, focus on the customer's needs, innovate your business to serve your customers better.

Don't always check what your competitors do. Because as you spend more time seeing what your competitors do, you have less time examining your own business and the customer's needs, you will inevitable become reactive to every move of your competitors and become a follower. Why not focus on your own business and customer's needs, be proactive, innovate your business, let your competitors check what you do and reactive to your moves, when they follow you and copy, congratulations, you become the leader in your industry.

Four steps to recondition your mind for realizing your goals

Four steps to recondition your mind for realizing your goals

It is a self-enlightenment process.

If you love yourself,  please enlighten yourself.     ---Steven Tu

First, please remember that we can't control the outer world, we can only control ourselves. We can control our thoughts(if we have learned how to do that), we can control our behaviors and actions(what we say, what we don't say, how we say it, our facial expressions, our body languages, what we do, what we don't do, how we do it.) We influence the outer world with our behaviors and actions. Our behaviors and actions are just product of our thoughts. Our thoughts are generated from our mind. We're the reason for everything, if we're not the reason to create it, then we're the reason to maintain it. We should not blame an external factor for something, because it doesn't help us. We should be the force which creates a result we desire, or we should be the force to change an undesirable situation or result.

More accurately, since our behaviors and actions(or inaction) are just a product of our thoughts and thoughts are generated from our mind, we can say that our mind is the reason for everything, if our mind is not the reason to create it, then our mind is the reason to maintain it. Our mind should be the force which creates a result we desire, or our mind should be the force to change or improve an undesirable situation or result.

For our physical problems, our thoughts can directly(without through behaviors and actions/inactions) be the reason for it, either be the reason to create it or be the reason to maintain it.

Second, you need to realize that when we came to this world, we had a few basic physiological habits(like that when we were hungry, we would want to eat something, when we were thirsty, we would want to drink something, we sucked milk to satisfy both needs.) and we understood body languages. Besides both, we didn't know anything else or have any other habits.  This means that our thoughts and habits are not innate, they are just learned. Since they are leaned, they can be unlearned, they are not innate, they are not like our lungs, our ears which can't be removed from us. Moreover, we only unlearn the thoughts/habits that harms us, and replace them with better ones that can help us.

Whenever you feel that something is against you realizing your goal,  you try to deal with the hindrance(Something against you realizing your goal), you feel emotion from yourself, then you should use this method. So two factors together hint that you should use this method, hindrance(you from realizing your goal) and emotion.

When you have an undesirable emotion, you can also use this method.

The four stops to recondition our mind for realizing our goals are as below:

Step 1: Write a paragraph to remind you and let you understand that your thoughts, habits(except for a few physiological habits) and tendencies are not innate, they are just learned after you came to this world.

Step 2:  Write down the hindrance, and then ask "why". Have you ever proved a geometric statement with backward induction? This process is like that. You keep asking yourself why to force yourself why, and you try to answer your own why questions until you can only answer your question with "I don't know." This conversation traces the thought back to its root.

Step 3: With the root thought or habit from the last question in step 3, write down how it affected you(or how it affected you from realizing your goal.) Your thoughts causes feelings, your feelings cause behaviors and actions, Your thoughts can also directly lead to certain behaviors and actions, your behaviors and actions influence the outer situation and outcome. Write down this chain process. With this thought, how would you feel, what behaviors or actions would you have, how the behaviors and actions would influence the outcome, until you realize that the thought wouldn't do you any good but harmed you.

Step 4: Based on Step 3, you already know how your thought would affect you, you replaced it with a new one you're willing to adopt.

I've already given several examples in previous posts. More examples will be given in new posts.

Event and Process

Event refers to the moment of success.

When an athlete takes part in Olympic Games and wins his first championship, it is an event. When Barack Hussein Obama took part in the presidential election and won it, it was an event. When someone becomes suddenly famous by singing a song, it is an event.
Behind every event, there is a process which makes the event almost inevitable. The athlete took training many years for the Olympic games but you don't know. Barack Obama put effort of many years which could let him become a president before the presidential election, but you don't know. The unknown singer might sing many years before she sang the song which made her become instantly famous, but you don't know.
So someday if one of your friends or acquaintances suddenly becomes rich, don't think that he or she is just lucky. He/she is not just lucky, he/she must have failed many times before that event, or he/she must have spent many years which would make that event inevitable.
So if you want success, please be willing to go through the process.

Why are a lot of people not rich

Why are a lot of people not rich?

First, they don't believe that they can make a lot of money. Since they don't believe that they can make a lot of money, they won't try to seek methods or formulas which can let them make a lot of money.

Second, if you ask them whether they want to make a lot money, they will say "Yes."  But what they really mean is that if a lot of money can suddenly fall into their lap, they will gladly take it. If you tell them that it will take them some effort, they will say, "OK. Forget about it."

They don't believe that they can make a lot of money and they don't want to put forth any effort in making a lot of money. So, how can they be rich?

Want to be looked up to/thought highly of

When we came to this world, we didn't know anything. We didn't have any needs except for a few very basic physiological needs. After 20 years or 30 years of living, we have formed many needs. This means that those needs are not innate, they are just learned.

One of the needs we have is that we want to be looked up to and thought highly of by people.

Why do you want to be looked up to and thought highly of by people?
I don't know. I just learned that.
how did you learn that?
I don't know.
Why did you learn that?
I don't know.

How did you learn it?
Can you remember, when you were young, if someone looked up to you, your parents would have a very pleasant attitude as if it was very good that you were looked up to, therefore you learned that it was good to be looked up to.

On the contrary, your mom would have a sour attitude if a moment ago a person didn't look up to you and now the person was left, as if it was not  good if you were not looked up to by a person.

How did it affect you?
Since I wanted people to look up to me and think highly of me, I would always try to seem capable and smart, this is fine. However, if I found that what I had done turned out to be not so smart or wise, I would tempt not to admit it, because I knew that if I admitted it, people would find that I was not so smart or capable as they had thought I was, they would look down upon me or think low of me. Since I didn’t want them to look down upon me or think low of me, I would  cover it and continue to do what I had been doing and don’t change it. In this way, I sacrificed the way to live a better life, I sacrificed a better life to maintain people’s favorable or good impression of me. It isn’t worthwhile.

It is OK that people to look down upon me or think low of me.  I don’t have to let people look up to me or think highly of me.

How can you make a lot of money

I think that you all want to make a lot of money. You may often ask, "How can I make a lot of money?" This is a wrong question which will lead you to a dead train of thought. Instead of ask you how you can make a lot of money, ask you how you can help other people. If you help one person, you can make a little money; if you help one hundred people, you can make some money; if you can help 1 million people, you can make a lot of money. If you can help 10 million people, you will make a huge amount of money.

Find an unmet need, or a need that is not met well, then meet this need or meet the need better than existing providers.  Make sure that you can distribute it to many people.

Think of a way/method, a product, a formula, or a service that can help people, and figure out a way that can distribute your help to millions of people, then you will be financially rich.

It is easy to make money. Making money is to help people. How can you help people? How many people can you help?

hard-working to smart-working

When we came to this world, we didn’t know anything. Now after 20 years or 30 years, we seem to know everything.  We have our opinion or cognition of almost everything. This means that our opinions or cognition of everything are not innate, they are just learned.

Making money needs or requires hard-working.
Why does making money need hard-working?
Money can only be made by hard-working.
Why can money only be made by hard-working?
I learned it.
How did you learn it?
My parents imbued me with that idea.
Why did your parents imbue you with that idea?
They believe that idea.
Why do they believe that idea?
I don’t know.

Mom, why do you believe that idea?
I don’t know.

How did it affect you?
Since I believed that making money should be hard-working, I wouldn’t think about the ways to make money which didn’t require hard-working, if there was some ways to make money which didn’t require hard-working, I wouldn’t believe it, I would simply ignore it. since I didn’t think about the ways to make money which didn’t require hard-working, I ended up making money just by hard-working, therefore I’ve been always hard-working to make money.

Making money doesn’t require hard-work, making money requires smart-work. Making money requires work, but the work doesn't necessarily have to be hard, but it has to be smart.

We're selectively living in this world

When we desire a goal that we believe we can achieve in our heart of hearts, we will be attentive to it, we will keep a watchful eye on any messages or information that can lighten us how to achieve it. Every day, every moment we are exposed to unlimited messages or information. What message or information we will receive or get depends on our mind selection. Yes, we selectively receive and absorb the messages in our daily life. We choose information that can conform to the cognition/beliefs we've already had, we just want to confirm it with information from an external source.  Or we just selectively receive messages that we are subconsciously seeking. So we either get messages that we've already had, but just to confirm the same message in  our mind, or we just get messages that we are seeking. What we are seeking, what we will have.

Even our thoughts we have are selected if we actively think. We think how to create wealth, then our thoughts will naturally revolve around it, we will have thoughts about creating wealth. If we think that we can achieve a goal, our thoughts following this belief will revolve around how the goal can be achieved; if we don't think that we can achieve a goal, our thoughts following this disbelief will revolve around justifications why this goal can't be achieved. When we don't believe a goal can be achieved, we will get justifications and confirmation why it can't be achieved; when we believe that a goal can be achieved, we will start to get ideas how it can be achieved.

What messages/information we receive are selected, what thoughts we have are selected.  Selection creates difference between people's mind. We're selectively living in this world.

Mediocrity

When we came to this world, we knew nothing, after 20 years of living or 30 years of living, we seem to know everything, we have our own opinion of everything. This means that our own opinions of everything are not something we congenitally have prior to or when we came to this world, we learned them along the way we have been living, and we will continue to live forward to learn more things.

If your parents are mediocre people, as most of parents are, the chances are they would imbue you with ideas/concepts/beliefs/views that belong to mediocre living, since it was a long time which spanned many years, those mediocre ideas/concepts/beliefs/views have been deep-rooted in your mind and you even forget  that those ideas/concepts/beliefs/views are actually learned and mistakenly take them as how this world works. We have been used to mediocre living so long that we even don't want to change for a better living because we have become very comfortable to it by getting used to it so long. Once change, it challenges our very ideas/concepts/beliefs/views about reality that we have possessed for so long and been comfortable with, we may feel upset, we may feel uncomfortable. We are mentally used to mediocre living. Our parents would let us understand we could only be able to live a mediocre life, have mediocre means, achieve mediocre goals, marry a mediocre girl, enjoy mediocre happiness and fulfillment and we don't deserve an abundant life, we don't deserve a lot of wealth, we don't deserve a magnificent life, those are what we can merely wish but will never really have.

Therefore, to live an extraordinary life, you have to reclaim that you deserve an extraordinary life and you need to learn to believe that you have the ability to live an extraordinary life.

This may seem intimidating, because from our past experiences, we have already formed an opinion that we don't have that ability to live an extraordinary life. If we had that ability to live an extraordinary life, we would live a much better life now than we are currently living,  that's our reasoning. However, when we think this way, we make a mistake, because our ability is very much bonded to our beliefs. We can only be as capable as we believe that we can be. Our ability is bonded to our ideas/beliefs/concepts/views. Mediocre thinking produces mediocre ability. We simply need to change our thinking/mind to empower our ability, to free up our ability.

We also don't believe that we deserve an extraordinary life. Why? That's because of the drawback of the mind. We may arrogantly believe that we think freely and we have free thinking, but actually all of our thoughts/cognition are simply learned or enlightened by an external source, or simply extended by reasoning from a learned or enlightened thought/cognition. If we can simply grow thoughts/cognition ourselves, we wouldn't need education(Education here including schooling, experiences, reading books, watching TV, listening to radios, or reading this blog, etc.). Simply put, we need someone to tell/enlighten us that we deserve an extraordinary life or experience an experience which tells/enlightens us that we deserve an extraordinary life, obviously our mediocre parents didn't do that to us, or we might have someone occasionally telling us that we deserved an extraordinary life  but in the meantime we had 10 people or even 100 people who told us that we just deserved a mediocre life. We simply learned to forget that occasional incident.

So now you can assert(I enlighten you) that you deserve an extraordinary life. Simply believe that you deserve an extraordinary life is not enough, you have to work to realize it because our life is created by ourselves, therefore you should be willing to change your beliefs/opinions/thoughts so you can possess new beliefs/opinions/thoughts that can nurture high ability.

Opportunistic thinking

Do you want to start a business but don't have a business idea? It is easy to find a business idea.

Making money is a process of helping other people, delivering value to other people.

What goals do you want to achieve? Are there any other people who have the same goal as you? Can you launch a service or product to help other people realize their goals?

Are you anguishing in a tough situation? Think about it, in the country, is there only you who are anguishing in that tough situation? Or are there 100,1000,10000, 100000 or even more who are in the same situation? If so, can you do something for them? Can you help them solve the problem or at least partially solve the problem, or can you give them some mental support like empathy? Like a movie, TV drama, magazine, it doesn't necessarily solve your problem, but it may make you feel better and you will see that you are not alone. It may strike a deep chord with them which may make the movie or TV drama a blockbuster.

What value can you offer to other people? If you can offer value to thousands of people, you can make a good business, if you can offer value to millions of people, you can make a great business.

From everything, either good or bad, there is an opportunity.  A lot of people want to buy stocks, good, you can make money by helping them buy stocks. A lot of young adults are single and feel difficult to find a mate, good, you can make a lot of money by helping them find a mate. A lot of people are cynical, good, you can make a lot of money by creating a place for them to express and indulge in their cynicism.

You don't have to start a business which does something completely new. You can do something other people have already been doing, as long as you can do it better and distribute it to more people. For example, there are many coffee shops, you can also open a new coffee shop, as long as you can do it better, maybe add one function to it, or serve a purpose which other coffee shops don't serve, and then you brand your coffee shop, duplicate it by store chaining or franchising, you can deliver it to a lot of people.

4 Mindsets

Our behaviors and actions create the outer results, and our behaviors and actions are dictated by our mind, therefore it is our mind that dictates the outer results, so it is imperative to have a correct mind.

Mindset 1: There are no outer issues, there are only inner issues. The outer world is a perfect world, the issues are only inner. Our thoughts, beliefs, desires, fears, biases, unclear thinking, etc. are the roots of the issues.

Mindset 2:  Take 100% responsibility for your life. We're the reason for everything. If something fails, it is because that we make it fail. Don't think about if you will succeed or fail. Whether you succeed or fail doesn't depend on anything else, whether you succeed or fail depends on what you do and how you behave,  if you succeed, it is what you do and how you behave that makes you succeed, if you fail, it is what you do and how you behave makes you fail. What you do and how you behave are dictated by your mind, so it is your mind that makes you succeed or fail.

What mind should you have to make you succeed?
You should believe that you will succeed as long as you correctly do, as long as you correctly behave.

Mindset 3: Positive thinking makes us more likely to achieve our goals. Positive thinking empowers us, can do more help to us than so-called rational thinking. Positive thinking is more enlightened than realistic thinking or rational thinking. Positive thinking motivates our mind while realistic thinking or rational thinking just makes us feel good but not necessarily get better. Realistic thinking or rational thinking makes us underachieved by not motivating our mind.

Mindset 4: See opportunity from everything you see. Try to take advantage of everything.  Examples: when there is an economic crisis, good, this is an opportunity, I can take advantage of it. When there is an economic boom, good, this is an opportunity, I can take advantage of it. When a bad experience happens to you, good, this is an opportunity, I can take advantage of it. From everything I see, I see an opportunity at it.

Innovation and Distribution

One way to make money:

Innovation and distribution:
Innovation: you don't have to completely invent a new product or service. You can just reinvent a product or service, or modify or improve an existing  product or service, or add a modern element into a traditional product or service, repackage it and reintroduce it to the world. Innovation is just half of the battle while distribution is the other half of the battle which eventually determines the failure or success of a business. Sometimes you can succeed with a mediocre product or service if your distribution is immensely successful, while sometimes you will not succeed if you have an excellent product or service if you can't successfully deliver it to the hands of million people. People don't pay you just because you invent or have an excellent product or service, people just pay you when you invent or have an excellent product or service and actually deliver it to them.

Methodically/technically, it is easy to make a lot of wealth. Think about what value you can offer to the world, think about what value you can offer to other people that can help other people, and you know how to distribute this value(product or service) to millions of people, you can be rich. Money is a reward for your contribution to this society, the society values rich people because rich people have made great contributions to this society.

Or think about what goals you have, and how you realize your goals, think about it, can how you realize your goals help other people realize their own goals, if yes, tell other people how to realize their goals, if you can successfully tell millions of people how to realize their goals, you can be rich.

Or how do you improve your life? Can how you improve your life help other people improve their own life, then tell it to millions of people, if you can tell millions of people how to improve their life, you can be rich.

Simply put, to get rich is to deliver value carried by either a product or a service to millions of people, or to deliver huge value to hundreds of people.

Should you always think rationally

When we come to this world, we didn't know anything, now we seem to know everything. We have our opinions of everything and we have our opinions of ourselves, everything we possess as opinions  or views are learned, since they are learned, they can be unlearned. We can unlearn them and replace them with better opinions or views, opinions or views that can help us live a better life.

There are no outer issues, there are only inner issues.

Positive thinking and Rational thinking

Suppose that you are working with a customer on a potential order, before the order is officially confirmed(the customer makes the deposit), if you think rationally, what will you think?
I will think, “I don’t know if I will eventually get this order, but I will do my due diligence and try.”
How will this thinking affect you?
I will just do what I am supposed to do and see what the result will be.
What will the outcome be?
I may get this order, and I may not get the order.
Why?
Because I will not work hard to get this order.

OK. So if you think positively, what will you think?
I will think, “I will get this order. I just need to do whatever it requires to get the order.”
How will this thinking affect you?
I will do whatever it requires to get the order.
What will the outcome be?
I will get this order.
Why?
I do whatever it requires to get the order, therefore I can get this order.

Rational thinking seems rational, however, our thinking influences our behaviors and actions, if the  outcome will be influenced by our behaviors and actions, rational thinking will be a self-fulfilling prophecy, therefore rational thinking is actually not so rational, because it is from a tunnel vision, it's like that during a Chess game, the Chess player can only see one step or two steps while positive thinking can also act as a self-fulfilling prophecy, but it is a self-fulfilling prophecy in a good way/direction, it empowers us, drags us to the path which leads to a good outcome, lets us act positively, dramatically increases the likelihood of success.

In deed, there is no rational thinking, there are only commonsense thinking and unconfident thinking. To think that a piece of red-hot iron will burn you if you touch it is not rational thinking, it is just commonsense thinking. To think that you may achieve something and you may not achieve something is not rational thinking, it is just unconfident thinking because you don't believe that you have the ability to make it achieved.

The Mind

Our actions are derived from our thoughts, and our thoughts are generated from our mind.

We don't have free thinking, because our thinking is from our mind, and our mind is not a free mind, it is a conditioned mind.

When we came to this world, we knew nothing, and when we are a grownup, we know everything(we feel that we know everything in comparison to the time when we were just a baby), we have our beliefs, values, morals, we have our opinions of many things, we have our own assessments of ourselves, etc. However, all these are not inborn, they are just imbued with.

Knowing that the beliefs, values, opinions, judgments are not inherent with us, but are just imbued with by the outer environment which we live in, we don't have to think that they are just an intrinsic part of us, they can be changed. They are just attached to us by the environment, therefore we can detach them from our mind. Our mind is like a very big file cabinet which contains many file folders, and the beliefs, opinions, ideas are just files in folders.  They can be removed from the cabinet and replaced with new files.
