Baidu still focuses on technology, while Jack Ma focuses on strategies and creating values for this world. Baidu focuses on its technology, while Jack Ma focuses on his philosophies.
The organizational strategies of Alibaba is more sophisticated than Baidu. Alibaba is a group which consists of many brands, each brand is a subsidiary corporation. Robin Li is created new products with so-called good technologies, while Jack Ma is creating brands with his strategies, philosophies, and higher awareness.
A brand is a psychological existence, it can't carry too many products or concepts. This relates to psychological anchoring. For example, when we think about Google, we will think about search, search is psychologically anchored to the brand Google, while you want to attach another concept to the brand Google, it will dilute the original psychological anchoring Google-->Search. When you want to attach multiple concepts to a brand, you are fighting people's psychological nature. The correct way to do it is like Alibaba, creating another independent brand for another independent product, therefore Alipay is much more effective than "Alibaba Payment", Taobao is much more effective than "Alibaba shopping".

The nature of money-making
The nature of money-making is to help each other. Helping each other is a social phenomenon, a social tool. It is one of the pillars of a society, the other one is working together. It is like that you help someone in the form of delivering value to him, he gives you money, and the money represents his helping you back, because you can do things or achieve certain goals with the money. When you invest, you also help people. Say, when you buy something, like a stock, fund, bond, apartment, you don't force the seller to sell it, the seller makes his own decision to sell it to you, he sells it to you because he wants to sell it to you, when you buy it, you realize his goal(selling it), you help him. So when you later sell it to a buyer, you don't force the buyer to buy it, he wants to buy it, he buys it because he wants to, when you sell the item to him, you help him, you help him buy the item, you realize his wish.

The world is always helping you
The world is always helping you. This is true.
The world is constantly helping you. But the help doesn't always take a form like giving you money, or explicitly telling you how to make money, it takes various forms, say, it may try to enlighten you with a real case, it may try to let you learn something, it may come to you to trigger something which will help you.
Simply put, the world is constantly taking various forms to help you. It is a fact. You will progress quickly after you understand this.
All the incidents that have happened to you or are happening try to help you.

You don't need independence
You don't need independence, you need people and money in the society to achieve your goals. People and money in the society are our tools in the society that we can use. Accept that people question you
Amateurs are a heavy sufferer of many limiting beliefs which seriously limit their financial life. When an amateur is presented with brand-new world class thinking, it is expected that this simply action will create cognitive dissonance in their mind and since cognitive dissonance is a highly undesirable state of mind, they will try to question you or knock you down in an effort to recover harmony on their mind. It is not that they hate you personally or they don't want you to achieve your goals, it is that the cognitive dissonance created on their mind drive them to do so, and they may not be even aware of it.
If you are a world class person, don't think that all other people are also world class and think like you. Instead, please realize that the majority of people are just amateurs and possess amateurs thinking and it is natural, normal and even expected that they will try to question you or knock you down once they are presented with world class thinking by you. Just accept this phenomenon and don't let it affect you.

Generals know how to fight a battle, but the emperor knows the significance of fighting a battle, the emperor knows why to fight a battle. The humankind on the earth as societies evolve by helping each other and working together. Societies in this world progress by two ways, one is to help each other, another one is to work together. By harnessing the two ways, you can achieve more than you can achieve alone. They are tools. Human kind progress so fast and differentiate them from other animal species in the world because humankind can use tools. Unless hammer,sickle, bow and arrow, helping each other and working together are invisible social tools. Humankind understand that they don't have to show the world their power by means of their talons and fangs like a tiger or lion, instead, they know that they can use external tools like machines, guns, rockets, vehicles to show how powerful they are.
Some independent people are actually social hermits.
While world class are working on living a big life and a wonderful life and enjoying big freedom, able people are working on letting the society recognize their excellence, able people, when they were young, were told, or subtly hinted or enlightened by their parents and their environment that they were not good enough the way they were unless they could be able to prove to people that they were excellent, this instillation was like digging a pit in their psychological body, once dug, their work after that was to try to be excellent and gain people's recognition by showing their excellence to repair the pit in their psychological body, their entire adult life is more likely a redemption for the psychological pit left on their mind at their early age. The world class don't have this psychological pit, all they do in their adult life is to try to achieve their goals and enjoy self-created freedom and live a big and wonderful life.

The Truth Trap
One thing that mysteriously, powerfully, detrimentally traps people is the strong desire to seek truth. There is no truth, there are only facts and perceptions. We need to accept facts, science is fact, therefore we need to accept it. Facts are absolute while truth, since it is merely perception, is an illusion. We don't need to spend a lot of time to think about if something is true, but we do need to think about if something is factual. While fact is an objective exist and is not attached to any person's perception, truth is arbitrary and is subject to one's belief. In other words, your belief makes an arbitrary perception truth. The meaning of a perception is its effectiveness. The world is what you think it is, effectiveness is the measure of truth. So before accepting a "truth", think about its effectiveness, think about whether it helps you or harms you, and how much does it help you, whether there is another "truth" which can help you more, and adopt the "truth" that helps you most.

Enlighten yourself hard, you will get money
Many people think that it takes time to make money, therefore they are always spending their time to make money, they are working hard to make money. They are always "in action", however, they rarely stop for some time and think about how to make money, they rarely stop to learn how to make money, they think that thinking about how to make money or learning how to make money eats their time to make money and they think that they can't afford it. What they don't realize is that they are adopting linear thinking to make money, they think that the money you make is in proportion to how much you spend in making it, therefore the more time you spend in making money, the more money you will make, and money directly comes from the time you spend on it, this thought comes as innocent enough yet hugely wrong. Money doesn't come from time, money comes from ideas. The world doesn't care how much time you spend, the world cares how much value you create, how many services you have delivered, how many products you have created, all these come from ideas.
The general public see studying how to make money as "doing nothing", and thinking about how to make money as "doing nothing", and they value action, they always say that action is the factor that creates all. In deed, they are always "in action", and they know that as long as they act, they will get what they want, and if they haven't got what they want, they just think that it is because that they haven't acted enough. When they don't act, they just try to entertain themselves and "enjoy life".
What they don't know is that it is not act that brings you money, it is how you act, and how you act is dictated by how you think, therefore it is how you think determines how much money you make. The general public ignorantly think that they know how to make money, therefore they don't want to know how to study making money, they just act. Money-making revisited
In a free economy market, it is easy to make money. Many people don't make a lot of money, it is not because they don't want to make a lot of money, it is because that they don't believe that money can be easily made, and they also are brainwashed to think that they need to sacrifice many things to make money. People think that it is difficult to make money because they come from a scarcity mentality, and they still attach linear thinking to making money, but actually money is abundant, and you should engage in non-linear thinking to make money and you should learn to use leverage. There is no limit on how much money you can make. Money is just a meter which gauges the total sum of the products and services you produce for the society.
