Don't demand the world to present you more than it presents you

Along the way we grow up, we unconsciously set up many expectations, with those expectations we build our "selves". We tell ourselves that it will be terrible if those expectations are not met, since it is "terrible", we will feel upset when we anticipate that those expectations will not be met or those expectations are not being met. The most simply and effective way to cure this is to simply give up those expectations, because those expectations are subjectively fabricated and it doesn't fit the reality. Those expectations will be sometimes met and sometimes unmet in reality, and if we demand that those expectations needs to be constantly or always met, we will cause our mood swings, a lot of mood swings. So just give up any subjectively fabricated expectations, accept the world as it is. Don't require the world more than it presents you.
Is it decadence? No.  The world can only present you what it presents and it can not present you more than what it presents you. It is ridiculous and childish that you demand the world to present you more than it presents you. The world is not your childhood parents. When you were a child, you could always use "demanding" to get what you wanted, because your parents often gave in to satisfy your wants, even your wants were unreasonable. But the world is not your childhood parents, you can not get what you want from it using "demanding". So it is ridiculous to want more from the world than it presents you. If you want more, you need to work your way up to get what you want, in this way, you are demanding the world to give you more, you are working with the world so you can get what you want, it's like that when you help yourself, the world will help you.  You need to know Tao, live with Tao, utilize Tao to realize your goals.
